When a corrupted King Arthur threatens to plunge the world in Darkness, Merlina summons a hero from another world, Sonic. After informing Sonic of the situation, Merlina helps him retrieve the sword, Caliburn, and meet the Lady of the Lake (who happens to look eerily similiar to Amy). Sonic finds out that he must fight the Knights of the Round Table and collect their swords in order to defeat the king. Based off of the stories of Arthurian Legend, this game is filled with action packed gameplay where you get to swordfight enemies, all while playing through a captivating story full of twists and turns.
The way Sonic and the Black Knight was originally intended to be played. If you happen to have a working Wii laying around and are willing to scrape up between $7 to $20 on Ebay, this is arguably the best way to play the game.
However, of course the chances of the average person still owning a Wii are not very high. Luckily, there is a very accessible option availble. Dolphin Emulator is an emulator that can be downloaded to your computer. Project Reforged aims to make Sonic and the Black Knight much more easily available to play on the computer. This port is completely rebuilt from the ground up, meaning the majority of the game's assets are rebuilt and recoded. This port might be a significantly more accessible option compared to the other two. However, this port is still in it's testing phase, meaning that not everything in the original Black Knight is currently not here. However, this port has tons of features that are still useful for PC players, such as the ability to change graphics settings, all of the controls automatically being mapped to the keyboard and mouse, and the option to use any controller that you would like for the game. This port also has a few bonus features not found in the original game, such as customizable accessories for Sonic and a Sir Galahad boss fight.
Setting up Project Reforged is quite easy and involves less steps than Dolphin Emulator.
